Ridgemont and Riverdale are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Ridgemont Golden Gophers will head out on the road to take on the Riverdale Falcons at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Ridgemont will be strutting in after a win while Riverdale will be coming in after a loss.
On Thursday, Ridgemont didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cory-Rawson, but they still walked away with a 32-27 win. The win was just what Ridgemont needed coming off of a 81-34 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Riverdale unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by Liberty-Benton 60-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Riverdale has scored all season.
Ridgemont's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Riverdale, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Ridgemont was taken down by Riverdale 62-23 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Ridgemont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
