The Edinburg Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 21 points or more this season. They took their matchup on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 88-32 win over Los Fresnos. The victory was familiar territory for Edinburg who now have seven in a row.
Edinburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kimora Fagan led the charge by dropping a double-double on 27 points and 12 assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which Fagan has scored at least 25% of Edinburg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Carranco, who shot 4-for-10 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds.
Edinburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season. As for Los Fresnos, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Edinburg will finish 2023 at home by hosting Hanna at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hanna will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 979th, while Edinburg is ranked 38th). As for Los Fresnos, they will head out on the road to face off against La Joya at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
