The Wilson Magnet Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Franklin Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wilson Magnet had to endure a seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 59-49 victory over Gates Chili on Monday. The win was just what Wilson Magnet needed coming off of a 79-49 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, even though University Prep scored an imposing 70 points on Thursday, Franklin still came out on top. Franklin beat University Prep by the very same score they won with last week: 74-70. The win made it back-to-back wins for Franklin.
Wilson Magnet's victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Franklin, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Wilson Magnet lost to Franklin on the road by a decisive 80-64 margin in their previous matchup back in February. Can Wilson Magnet avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
