The University Prep Panthers stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Central Valley as University Prep made off with a 82-57 victory. The victory was familiar territory for University Prep who now have ten in a row.
Nolan Gray was a one-man wrecking crew for University Prep as he dropped a double-double on 45 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gray has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Flores, who scored 11 points.
Central Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Sanderson, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kanin Harris, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
University Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Central Valley, their loss was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-24.
University Prep will take on West Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in University Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 14 games. As for Central Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Lassen at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
