 At the plate, West Carrollton got a  massive  performance out of  Ben Martin, who  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Drew Strauss, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.
 West Carrollton  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trotwood-Madison only posted  an  OBP of  .435.
Meanwhile,  on Monday Tippecanoe's undefeated season almost came to an end. They never let Piqua get on the board and left with  a   1-0  victory.
Not much got past  Cayden McKinney, who gave up just  five  hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Piqua off the board. McKinney has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run any time he's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Preston Zumwalt was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run.
 West Carrollton's record now sits at 2-0. As for Tippecanoe, their win was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-0.
 West Carrollton might still be hurting after the  10-0 loss they got from Tippecanoe  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
