On Friday, Water Valley is packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Coffeeville at 7:00 PM. Water Valley has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Water Valley took care of business in their home opener. They blew past Eupora 34-8.
Meanwhile, Coffeeville had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 6-47 loss at the hands of Calhoun City. Coffeeville were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-40.
Water Valley's lifted them to 1-0 while Coffeeville's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Water Valley can add another positive mark to their record or if Coffeeville can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Water Valley's step.
