Jac-Cen-Del walked away with a 52-42 victory over Batesville on Friday. This was payback for Jac-Cen-Del, who suffered a 56-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Jac-Cen-Del's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reagan Hughes, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Meyer, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Jac-Cen-Del's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Batesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Jac-Cen-Del will head out on the road to face off against South Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Decatur focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Monday. As for Batesville, they will be playing at home against Connersville at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Connersville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Saturday.
