After 13 games on the road, Lake Travis is heading back home. They will take on the Del Valle Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Travis has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three contests.
Even though Lake Travis has not done well against Westlake recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Lake Travis came out on top against Westlake by a score of 68-56. Given Lake Travis' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Westlake is ranked 42nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Travis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hudson Greer, who scored 22 points along with 6 rebounds. The match was Greer's 15th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chas Biegel, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Del Valle's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 57-35 defeat to Westlake might stick with them for a while.
Lake Travis' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for Del Valle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Lake Travis beat Del Valle 55-47 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Lake Travis repeat their success, or does Del Valle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
