If the Northglenn Norsemen were feeling good off their 70-46 takedown of the Prairie View Thunderhawks last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Northglenn was beaten by Boulder 68-33 on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northglenn has scored all season.
Northglenn's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jacob Martin, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, and Jose Jaimes who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jaimes has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boulder to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle Blauch, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Morrow, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Northglenn has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Boulder, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.
Northglenn the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Erie at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Erie is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.5 points per game. Boulder on the road again on Saturday and play against Rocky Mountain at 11:30 a.m. on January 20th. Allowing an average of 57.6 points per game, Rocky Mountain has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game.
