Cal Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Miller was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a home run and four RBI.
Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gage Kortman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Box Elder's record is now 4-5. As for Viewmont, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
