Elijah Hill Moore and Ashawn Camp were among the main playmakers for Lake Lure Classical Academy as the former dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards and the latter went 8 of 13 on his way to 20 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of D Watkins, who posted four points in addition to seven assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 19-19 at halftime, Challenger was not quite Pinnacle Classical Academy's equal in the second half on Friday. The game between them and the Eagles didn't end well, with Challenger falling 52-35. The Firebirds have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Lake Lure Classical Academy will need focus on slowing down Riley Annis, one of several Challenger players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 12 on his way to 12 points and three steals. Annis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braelon Roe, who put up 11 points along with five boards and three steals.
Lake Lure Classical Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Challenger, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
