St. Sebastian's School scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Belmont Hill, 20-14. At the time, the Hillies were ranked 25th in the state, while the Arrows were 66th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rivers, who took down 53rd ranked Rivers, 36-7.
Thayer Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jack Becker threw for 219 and three touchdowns and Jerome Archi had 106 yards receiving. On the ground Aaron Gilmer chipped in 119 yards. Bryan Vieira helped Thayer Academy's passing attack out by catching three balls for 52 yards.
Thayer Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Becker has thrown for 862 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Vieira has 18 catches for 440 yards. Gilmer leads the league in rushing with 380 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Middlesex takes on St. Sebastian's School. Middlesex is in fourth place, while Robert Souza's team is in first place.
The Tigers' Gilmer rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Noble & Greenough last week.
