The River Ridge Royal Knights's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the IMG Academy Black Ascenders at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Hopefully River Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
Last Friday, River Ridge escaped with a win against Gulf by the margin of a single free throw, 47-46.
River Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dareal KING, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. That's the first time this season that KING scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of JONATHAN CASAREZ, who scored ten points along with two steals.
IMG Academy Black suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Charlotte on the road and fell 67-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points IMG Academy Black has scored all season.
River Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for IMG Academy Black, they bumped their record down to 2-11 with that loss, which was their 18th straight on the road.
