The First Academy Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Community Christian Academy as First Academy made off with a 63-42 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory First Academy has managed all season.
First Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logan James led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. James hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Jakson Bounds was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
First Academy's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Community Christian Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8.
First Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Community Christian Academy is on the road again on Monday and plays the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th.
