Bacon Academy is 4-0 against the Panthers since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bacon Academy Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Plainfield Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Bacon Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
On Saturday, Bacon Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over the Redmen, taking the game 48-35.
Meanwhile, Plainfield was beaten by the Whippets 55-26 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Plainfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Whippets are ranked 31st).
Bacon Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Plainfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Everything came up roses for Bacon Academy against the Panthers in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 as the team secured a 61-28 victory. With Bacon Academy ahead 34-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
