4A Special District 1 recap Oct. 3, 2012
Ridgeview moved up to 126 from 154 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Special District 1. The Ravens were able to make the jump by beating Burns 49-22.
Crook County took down Madison 54-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. Joe Saenz threw for 44 yards and one touchdown and ran for 79 yards in the win.
Ridgeview's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. David Lacock threw for 164 and three touchdowns and Jack Bowman had 144 yards receiving. On the ground Boomer Fleming chipped in 199 yards. Connor McCreary helped Ridgeview's passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
On the ground, Andy Codding's team's Fleming has rushed for 714 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Bowman. The Ridgeview star has 10 catches for 290 yards.
The Cowboys led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on the Senators. Saenz in the win.
