It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Union City Indians had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They took down the Broncos 51-32. The victory was nothing new for Union City as they're now sitting on four straight.
Oaklee Reichard had an outrageously good game as she scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luane Schoonbroodt, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Daleville still got an impressive performance from Isabelle Williams, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Williams hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Modlene Campbell, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Union City's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Daleville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
Union City will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Clinton Central at 10:00 a.m. on February 17th. Clinton Central will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something Union City surely won't give up without a fight. Daleville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
