In what's become a running theme this season, the Kathleen Red Devils gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They blew past George Jenkins, posting a 66-28 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Kathleen sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
George Jenkins lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Marykate Benham, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. Ivelisse Orengo was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Kathleen is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for George Jenkins, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kathleen will challenge Winter Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. George Jenkins won't have much time to rest: their next match is against McKeel Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. McKeel Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
