They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hillcrest Huskies. Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sierra Johnson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards. That's the most points Johnson has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sydney Orme, who posted 12 points.

Summit Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Hillcrest, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.
Summit Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-20 defeat against Draper APA on the 30th. As for Hillcrest, they will host Juan Diego Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
