The Estancia Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 84-50 win over Saddleback at home. Estancia has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.
When it comes to explaining why Saddleback lost, one person who can't be blamed is Amaree Johnson. Despite the final result, he scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Christopher Trotter, who scored eight points.
The win makes it two in a row for Estancia and bumps their season record up to 19-7. As for Saddleback, their loss was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-18.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Estancia will take on St. Margaret's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Margaret's will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Saddleback, they will head out on the road to challenge Costa Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Costa Mesa knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully Saddleback likes a good challenge.
