After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hoggard, Clayton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the West Johnston Wildcats to the tune of 55-2. The contest marked the Comets' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Aiden Smalls was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 111 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 50 yards and one touchdown. Khalin Rogers was another key player, rushing for 58 yards and one score on only five carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Clayton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 284 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Johnston only rushed for 118 rushing yards.
