There's no place like home for The Oxford Pirates, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against Bartlett on Friday as Oxford made off with a 53-28 win. The result was nothing new for Oxford, who have now won three contests by 25 points or more so far this season.
Robbie Fisher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 124 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Clarkson, who rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Oxford's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Cody Huard and his two sacks.
Oxford now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Bartlett, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxford will take on Leicester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Leicester is ranked 190th, while Oxford is ranked 214th). As for Bartlett, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Quaboag Regional at 6:00 p.m.
