Culver Community is 0-9 against Winamac since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will face off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Culver Community is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Culver Community turned things around against DeMotte Christian on Thursday. They blew past the Knights 15-2. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won six matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Aiden Molebash was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gracie Milam, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Hayden Lute was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Culver Community always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Winamac entered their tilt with North White on Monday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They skirted past the Vikings 4-2.
Winamac's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Bruce, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Winamac's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Culver Community, their record is now 7-5.
Culver Community's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Cavaliers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Winamac, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Culver Community continue to outrun the ball?
Culver Community suffered a grim 20-3 defeat to Winamac in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
