The Jones County Coyotes were the 54-48 winner over the Leola/Frederick Titans when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Jones County took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Saturday. Jones County just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Jones County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cooper Feddersen, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Kaden Kinsley who scored 22 points along with two steals. Feddersen has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jace Nix was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Jones County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Leola/Frederick, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-1.
Jones County will be playing at home against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leola/Frederick, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cardinals at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Ellendale is ranked 34th in North Dakota, while the Titans are ranked 24th in South Dakota).
