The Cooperstown Hawkeyes lost against the Waterville Indians back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Cooperstown had to suffer through a rough 77-46 loss at the hands of Waterville. Cooperstown has not had much luck with Waterville recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Charlie Lambert and Cooper Bradley certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Lambert scored 18 points along with eight assists, while Bradley scored six points along with six blocks and five rebounds. The match was Lambert's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ben Lewis, who scored two points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Cooperstown now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Waterville, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cooperstown will face off against New York Mills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Waterville, they will head out on the road to face off against Morrisville-Eaton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
