Charleston's Myles Decker rumbled for the longest rushing play in Apollo this season in his game against Rantoul last week. Decker ran for 54 yards on the play and finished with 268 on the day as his team beat the Eagles.
Mattoon moved up to 261 from 300 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Green Wave were able to make move up by topping Triad 22-21.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Mt. Zion's Payton Grinestaff and Max Gensler have proven to be a lethal combination. Grinestaff has thrown for 178 yards this season, while Gensler, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 2 catches for 38 yards. Decker from Charleston leads the league in rushing with 268 yards.
Brian Halsey's team was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to third in Apollo. The Trojans defeated Rantoul 36-22 earlier in the week.
