Morenci was led to victory by Elena Leonard and Tiara Jones. Leonard scored 13 points along with four steals, while Jones scored ten points along with nine rebounds. Leonard has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mayeli Salazar, who scored 11 points.
Morenci's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Santa Rita, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
