It was a good run, but the Louise Hornets unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Nordheim by a score of 29-26. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Louise in their matchups with Nordheim: they've now lost three in a row.
Louise's loss came despite strong showings from Natalie Roades and Hannah Ochoa. Roades scored 4 points along with 13 rebounds and 5 steals, while Ochoa scored 14 points. Roades has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Paige Lutringer, who scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds.
Louise's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Nordheim, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 1-3.
Louise will take on Goliad at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. Goliad is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Nordheim will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McMullen County at 6:15 p.m. on December 18th.
