The Northern Lebanon Vikings suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Lampeter-Strasburg 63-32. While losing is never fun, Northern Lebanon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 534th, while Lampeter-Strasburg is ranked 236th).
Lampeter-Strasburg was led to victory by Chase Smucker and Justin Glick. Smucker scored 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals, while Glick scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Yasin Abdi, who scored six points along with five assists.
Northern Lebanon has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Northern Lebanon the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Cocalico at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Lampeter-Strasburg won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chambersburg at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. Chambersburg is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
