AA Region III recap December 3, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in AA Region III this week, Fairfield Central beat Cheraw 37-13. The win marks 14th in a row for the the Griffins.
Fairfield Central took down the Braves 37-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. DeAndre Belton threw for 178 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 20 yards in the win.
Demetrius Davis' team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Larry G. Bell contributed 118 yards. Javaris Cook helped Fairfield Central's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 40 yards.
Belton put up the best numbers in passing as the Griffins defeated Cheraw. Belton's favorite target this week was Kewaun Squirewell, who caught 3 passes for 92 yards.
Fairfield Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Griffins feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Belton has thrown for 1,764 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Squirewell has 30 catches for 559 yards.
Fairfield Central led the league in scoring this week after putting up 37 points on Johnny White's team. Belton ran for 20 yards during the win.
