Make it seven blowout wins for the Maplewood Rockets this season. They blew past United 63-43. The victory was some much needed relief for Maplewood as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Leading Maplewood to victory were Madyson Cikosh and Lauran Krieg. Cikosh dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Krieg scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Krieg has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliah Brumit, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Maplewood's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7. As for United, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maplewood will take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for United, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.
