Anacostia has been on the road for four straight, but  on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Jackson-Reed Tigers at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Anacostia will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps District of Columbia Rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Tigers are ranked second).
 It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose  59-25, which was the final score in Anacostia's tilt against the Roughriders on Monday. Anacostia has struggled against the Roughriders recently, as their  contest on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
 Meanwhile, Jackson-Reed entered their tilt with the  with 13 consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with 14. Jackson-Reed came out on top in a nail-biter against the   on Saturday and snuck past  59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 It was another big night for  Jayden Fort, who  scored 20 points along with seven  rebounds and five  blocks. Another player making a difference was  Josiah Massaqoui, who  scored 13 points along with seven  rebounds.
 Anacostia's defeat was  their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Jackson-Reed, their victory bumped their record up to 27-2.
 Things could have been worse for Anacostia, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a  74-57 loss to the Tigers in their previous matchup  back in February of 2023.
