Basketball Game Preview: Tabernacle Christian Rams vs. Faith Christian Eagles

Tabernacle Christian and Faith Christian are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Tabernacle Christian Rams are taking a road trip to face off against the Faith Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tabernacle Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season.

Tabernacle Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 69-60 victory over Varsity Opponent.

Tabernacle Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cortlyn Tanner led the charge by putting up 23 points. Tanner's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Blain Wallace, who posted 22 points.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Faith Christian on Tuesday. They blew past Rockwell Christian School 67-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Faith Christian has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Tabernacle Christian, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Tabernacle Christian took a serious blow against Faith Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 72-41. Can Tabernacle Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
