Okolona is 0-4 against Potts Camp since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Okolona Chieftains will head out on the road to take on the Potts Camp Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Okolona has four straight victories, Potts Camp has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Okolona posted their biggest victory since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They breezed by Vardaman on the road to the tune of 58-28.
Meanwhile, Potts Camp was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 46-41 to Byers.
The win got Okolona back to even at 9-9. As for Potts Camp, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-12.
Okolona came up short against Potts Camp in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 65-55. Can Okolona avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
