East Coweta is 1-9 against Campbell since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The East Coweta Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Campbell Spartans at 6:00 p.m. East Coweta will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Campbell is ranked 36th).
Last Friday, East Coweta came up short against Carver and fell 55-48. East Coweta has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Rihanna Reams, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ariana Simmons, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Campbell entered their tilt with Westlake with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Campbell enjoyed a cozy 53-35 win over Westlake on Friday.
East Coweta has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Campbell, their victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.
East Coweta was dealt a bruising 69-30 loss at the hands of Campbell in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can East Coweta avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
