The Lueders-Avoca Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Moran. Lueders-Avoca lost against Moran in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-28 score last time.
Moran's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kielar Carr, who scored 14 points. The contest was Carr's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maekayla Kersey, who scored 9 points.
Lueders-Avoca's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Moran, their victory bumped their record up to 1-4.
Lueders-Avoca will look to defend their home court on Friday against Trent at 12:00 p.m. Moran won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Paint Creek at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.
