Southern Lee is a perfect 7-0 against Hoke County since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Southern Lee will look to defend their home field against Hoke County at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Last Wednesday, Southern Lee made easy work of Montgomery Central and carried off an 11-1 victory. Considering the Cavaliers have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Ben Harrington, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Bryan McCollum was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Hoke County scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 14-10 to St. Pauls. The Bucks' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Eric (EJ) Carter and Carson Hewitt stepped up to the plate in a big way. Carter scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5, while Hewitt scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Dawson Spivey, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Southern Lee has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. Hoke County's loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Southern Lee has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hoke County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Southern Lee took their victory against Hoke County when the teams last played on Tuesday by a conclusive 13-2. Will Southern Lee repeat their success, or does Hoke County has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
