The Dundee Vikings will square off against the Tecumseh Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Dundee turned things around against Hillsdale on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 9-2 win.

Logan Turner made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Dundee is 2-1 when Turner allows one or fewer hits, but 5-9 otherwise. Turner was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Evan Bennett was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Ben Sanders was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tecumseh). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Ypsilanti a 15-0 shutout on Monday. The Indians' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last five matchups.
Like Dundee, Tecumseh also got a great game from a two-way player: Palmer Ziemer. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Ziemer has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Rocco Williams was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Austin Kane, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Tecumseh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Tecumseh's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Dundee, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Dundee couldn't quite get it done against Tecumseh in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 10-6. Will the Vikings have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
