East Hardy came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted against the Bulldogs since May 7, 2021.

East Hardy pushed their record up to 12-15 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Tygarts Valley, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-9.
