Girard College got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Antoine Seals out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Seals has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Brasen Avent was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Girard College's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Kohelet Yeshiva, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Girard College will take on Liguori Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liguori Academy is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Kohelet Yeshiva, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Foundation Collegiate Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 24th. Foundation Collegiate Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 651st in New Jersey, while Kohelet Yeshiva is ranked 320th in Pennsylvania).
