The DeSoto Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 40-36 to Jefferson, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for DeSoto in their matchups with Jefferson: they've now lost three in a row.
Jefferson found their leader in underclassman Halayna Loyd, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Loyd has scored at least 25% of Jefferson's points. Another player making a difference was Grace Neels, who scored 7 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
