The Forge Christian Fury will venture away from home to take on the Platte Valley Broncos at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Forge Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 15 games.
On Thursday, Forge Christian beat The Academy 5-1.
Jonathan Tipton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Forge Christian got a massive performance out of Burke Jasa, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave Jasa a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben McLean, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Forge Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Academy struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Platte Valley was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of Valley by a score of 3-2.
Platte Valley also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Hazen Weber gave up three earned runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.
Forge Christian pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Platte Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Forge Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Platte Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Forge Christian took their win against Platte Valley in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Fury repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
