Cook Inlet Academy can attribute much of their success to Alek McGarry, who scored 25 points, and Ian McGarry, who scored 35 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which McGarry has scored at least a third of Cook Inlet Academy's points.
Holy Rosary Academy dropped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.4 points per game. As for Cook Inlet Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
Holy Rosary Academy was taken down by Cook Inlet Academy 76-45 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Holy Rosary Academy was down 43-16.
