Riley Scheel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, West Florida Baptist Academy let Emery Burke and Aubrey Doyle run wild. Burke went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Doyle went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ande Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.
West Florida Baptist Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Atmore Christian only posted an OBP of .062.
