Baseball Recap: Lewisburg Wins Going Away Against Northside

Lewisburg owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over Northside. Considering Lewisburg has won five games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Talon Haley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other pitching news, not much got past Cooper Bierman, who gave up just three hits to keep Northside off the board. Bierman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Briley Tubbs was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Lewisburg and bumps their season record up to 8-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11 runs. As for Northside, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Lewisburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-5 win against North Cobb Christian on the 8th. As for Northside, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-3 victory against Piedmont on the 8th.
