Lake Wales lost to Lakeland back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Lake Wales blew past Lakeland 8-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Highlanders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Carter Finnell was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brody Welborn, who scored four runs while going 1-for-4.

Finnell wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Lake Wales kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. Lake Wales is a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lake Wales now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lakeland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
