The elite high school football players from Oklahoma play on defense.
Of the top 10 standouts from the Class of 2021, according to 247Sports, eight play on the defensive side, including five in the backfield. The only clear-cut offensive player from the top 10 is Carl Albert running back Javion Hunt, who is one of three from the group committed to the University of Arkansas.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State each have two players headed its direction. Eight of the 10 have already committed to college programs.

1. Kendal Daniels, Beggs
6-foot-4 | 190 pounds | safety | UndecidedSuperb long and lean safety who also is a standout basketball player, had 117 tackles last season with three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and three pick 6s. Ranked the fifth best safety in the country, Daniels has 24 college offers, but appears to be choosing between Clemson, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.
2. Ethan Downs, Weatherford
6-4 | 240 | DE | OklahomaHas been extremely productive in two seasons with 153 career tackles, 28 which have gone for losses, including 12 sacks. He's also rushed for 1,404 yards and 14 touchdowns and has 24 career receptions. A state champion in the shot put, Downs has superb speed for a defensive end which earned him nine other college offers besides Oklahoma, including Baylor, LSU and Nebraska.
3. AJ Green, Union (Tulsa)
5-11 | 194 | ATH | ArkansasExtremely fleet athlete who has been timed in 10.52 seconds for the 100-meter dash and 21.46 in the 200. Recruited as a cornerback, Green would prefer to play running back in college. He picked the Razorbacks over Baylor, Colorado, LSU, Michigan and Oklahoma, among many others.
4. Collin Oliver, Edmond Santa Fe (Edmond)
6-2 | 220 | LB | Oklahoma StateWith excellent speed — he also runs track and is a long and high jumper — Oliver can play the outside, but has enough strength to play on the inside. Piled up 20 offers, but picked the Cowboys over such schools as Georgia, Oregon, Ole Miss, Utah and Tennessee.
5. Javion Hunt, Carl Albert (Midwest City)
6-0 | 205 | RB | ArkansasRushed 160 times for 1,114 yards and 25 touchdowns for the 5A state champions that went 13-1 in 2019. Superb instinctive runner who with a little bulk could play strong safety or linebacker in college. He picked Arkansas over Baylor, Iowa State, Nebraska, Ole Miss and Virginia Tech, among others.
6. Aden Kelley, Thomas-Fay-Custer (Thomas)
6-3 | 275 | DT | UndecidedA two-way starter and three-sport standout who competes in basketball and track and field, Kelley is both powerfully built and athletic. He has 21 offers but it appears his top contenders are Oklahoma State, TCU, Iowa State and Nebraska.
7. Tevin Williams, Stillwater
6-0 | 172 | CB | BaylorHas 69 career tackles and three interceptions for Stillwater, where he also is a sprinter on the track team. He recorded a best of 10.75 in the 100. He helped Stillwater to a 12-1 record in 2019 and a state title-game appearance. He picked the Bears over Air Force, Arkansas State SMU and Texas Tech, among others.
8. Ty Williams, Muskogee
6-1 | 186 | S | Oklahoma StateA tremendous all-around athlete, Williams also started at quarterback and has earned letters in basketball, track and field, and wrestling. He displays elite ball skills, according to recruiters. He picked the Cowboys over such schools as Cal, Georgia Tech, Colorado, Texas Tech and Tennessee.
9. Jordan Mukes, Choctaw
6-4 | 192 | S | OklahomaExcellent size, speed and instincts, Mukes also starred on the basketball court and the track. A good tackler, he's a fluid athlete who also had offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma State, SMU and Iowa State.
10. Keuan Parker, Booker T. Washington (Tulsa)
5-11 | 173 | CB | ArkansasHas 71 career tackles and 14 pass break-ups, while helping Booker T. Washington to back-to-back deep playoff runs. Had 14 other offers other than Arkansas, including Baylor, Iowa State, Michigan State, Oregon and Nebraska.
