Northwest won the last time they faced Hastings and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mounties put the hurt on the Saxons with a sharp 13-1 victory.

Lucy Bivens (2025) made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Ava Golightly (2025) was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, five runs, and one RBI. Golightly (2025) is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Ari Good (2025), who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Northwest now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hastings, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest will challenge Clinton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hastings, they will square off against Coldwater at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
