McLane won against Fresno last Friday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Highlanders didn't even let the Torres Toros on the board, marking the Highlanders' second-straight 42-0 shutout. Fans of the Highlanders have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

McLane found their leader in sophomore Vernon Lacy, who threw for 246 yards and five TDs.

McLane didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Sergio Jacuinde led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

McLane pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games. As for Torres, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

McLane wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-0 win against Roosevelt on the 9th. As for Torres, they have also already played their next matchup, a 24-7 loss against Sanger West on the 10th.
