Canyon Lake will head out on the road to take on Somerset at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Canyon Lake has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They fell 3-1 to Lampasas on Friday.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Somerset, who are still winless after their sixth match. They were the victim of a rough 7-0 defeat at the hands of Davenport on Friday.
Canyon Lake bumped their record down to 0-5-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 0.3 goals per game. As for Somerset, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
Canyon Lake took their victory against Somerset in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canyon Lake since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
